A Closer Look At the PS4

Hard to believe isn’t it? In just a few short months we’ll all be getting our hands on a shiny new Xbox One or Playstation 4, and the tension and wait is about as unbearable as standing in a sauna with twenty hippopotamuses. In preparation for the eventual release of the PS4 Sony’s European Blog has put out a brand new video where a Sony rep goes hands on with the console, giving us a closer look at the console itself, the controller and even the Playstation Camera.

It’s basically just a repeat of information we already know, but perhaps one of the most intriguing things about the vid is the actual size of the PS4′s camera, which seems to be a lot smaller than I envisioned. The PS4 meanwhile appears to dwarf Hollie Bennett, heroine of the video and Playstation Access Community Manager. It’s unknown whether she’s just small or the console is giant.

A closer look at the Dualshock 4 also reveals a pretty nifty-looking texture on the bottom of the controller that I honestly hadn’t spotted until this point. Perhaps I need to clean my glasses more regularly.

The console is not shown in action; Hollie states that this is a prototype and can’t be shown actually working. It does however resemble the finished PS4 product, which is all curvy edges and two-tone tops.

Take a look at the vid below.

Thanks, PS Blog.
